Meet Stephen Lewis

I am an astrologer in the coastal region of North Carolina, practicing full-time since 2012, who specializes in fusing the ancient astrology of Iran, the Middle East, the Mediterranean and Europe with modern techniques, adapting the wisdom of sages past for the special problems and issues of modern living.

After attending college at Rutgers I embarked on a world-wide voyage of discovery and spiritual exploration, eventually settling in Peru, where I lived across from Incan ruins and taught English to Peruvian business moguls, engineers, architects, lawyers, and more. It was there that I began studying occultism and metaphysics intently, eventually giving readings to strangers in the Parque Kennedy in Lima. At length I discovered the joys of astrology, and particularly the archaic strains of it, through a master living in an old German expatriate colony in Cajamarca.

Yet at the same time this kind of astrology flourished in an age when the judgments of the stars were taken as science, and taught in universities across Europe. It was embedded in the daily lives of many people, and was used to counsel kings, emperors, dukes, queens, bishops, magnates and potentates of all kinds.

Now it can be used to advise you in your matters.

I’m starting to get my life back with much to look forward to, and I could never have done it without him. Very grateful here.

God Is Fond Of Automation

The cosmological model of the medieval astrologer, his philosophy, worldview and explanation for cosmic phenomena, doubles as a model of the soul.

Everything in the universe is alive and possessed of intelligence. Astronomical understanding is converted into spiritual understanding. I believe that a person’s inner life is tied to the structure of the universe—to astronomy—and therefore is also tied to their external reality. The outer macrocosm is mirrored within a person’s internal microcosm.

It is the official position of this website that God exists and is a reality of nature. My belief is that God engages in a process of self-abandonment, absorbing Itself in all living and non-living things, forgetting Itself in an eternal game of hide-and-go-seek before finally coming to an awareness of Itself just in time to die and begin the game anew, endlessly, endlessly.

God Geometrizes

The classical concept of the inner life is remarkably different from that of the modern psychoanalyst. What we now recognize to be personality disorders were once thought to be the operations of spirits, daimons and intelligences—entities who could all be placated through magic and through spiritual practices. A chart of the heavens at any given time reveals a blueprint of what all of these intelligences and spirits are doing.

My goal in fusing traditional with modern practice is to reconstruct the esoteric philosophy and techniques of the medieval or Renaissance-era astrologer-magician and to present them as a customizable psychology a person can use to steer their reality toward outcomes they want.

The places of the stars at one’s birth set the tone for the entire life. The stars make a basic promise at the very beginning. And yet the future transits and movements of the planets through the zodiacal signs, not to mention the natural, logical and rhythmic internal cycling of the chart itself, show the temporary trends and variations on that basic promise.

What we might call God geometrizes the building blocks of reality within the nuclei of the fixed stars, building blocks which are spewed into the universe in streams of chaotic proto-matter. It is true indeed that you are made of star stuff.

A good astrology reading can tell you exactly what kind of star stuff you are made out of.

My reading with Stephen made me aware of possible ways to overcome all that was holding me back. I love his vast understanding of spirituality and his compassionate approach.
